Q.Canna Lily seed pods-how to get rid of
I have a Mango canna lily that I just bought less than a month ago. I got one flower out of it and now the main stalk is already going to seed with multiple seed pods at the top. Is there a way to keep the entire plant from going to seed for the year? I was hoping to have blooms all summer long. There are other stalks coming up, am I to assume other blooms will be coming? Or should I just cut back the main stalk under the seed pot and hopefully it’ll keep growing? I’ve never had one of these before, so I wasn’t sure what to do with it, but I’m really upset that I only got one flower out of it.

Your canna should bloom till frost. You can easily pinch off the spent blooms to prevent them from going to seed. Be sure to keep them well watered and in full sun. They love hot weather!
