Q.Canna And Mexican Petunia’s

Zone Millington, TN. 38053 | buckleshoe added on June 13, 2020 | Answered

I have Canna Plants (Orange) and Mexican Petunia’s. Something is destroying the leaves on my Mexican Petunia and they are not as big as the were last year. The Canna’s “NEW” leaves are being wound with a “webbing” and SOMETHING is laying “The reason I say that is, I sliced the leave OPEN with my thumb nail and OPENED the leaf and saw all the little brown eggs and it is really MOIST INSIDEEGGS” inside those “WEBBED LEAVES” like it was a “INCUBATOR”. What can I do to FIX these problems!

Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. This does sound like a leafroller infestation, though.

SO from what you are saying is, I have to cut off ALL THE INFECTED LEAVES. WHICH is on ALL OF MY CANNA's.
I am so upset, I took really good care of these until this. The Lady that gave them to me was very happy to see how well some of them were doing (other side of the house) NOW THIS STUPID MOTH (ANOTHER MOTH) just like the ones that DESTROYED my TOMATO PLANTS grrr :(
