Q.Can You Use Alpaca Poo On A Variegated Pittosporum Hedge

my neighbour planted a pittosporum hedge down the border which separates our gardens. The soil is very poor and i have some alpaca poo which was sold as a fertiliser but she is concerned that it might have a detrimental effect on her hedge. I would certainly not put it around her shrubs but is it OK for me to use on the soil? Thank you
