Q.Can you tell me what tree/fruit this is?
We found this tree in the garden of the house we bought a year and a half ago. Last year it bore no fruit, this year it’s full of little yellow cherry-like fruits. We would like to be sure they’re not poisonous before eating them. I am attaching photos of the fruit/leaves, trunk, and fruit/pit. Is this a cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera)? Thank you!

It could be one of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/cherry/yellow-cherry-varieties.htm
But I would double check with a nursery or local university horticulture department before eating any.
