Does the seed need to age off of mother plant can you start germination right away

If you are talking about Mother of Thousands plant, it is best to take the small propagations that start on the leaf margins, rather than wait for it to flower (if it ever does).

Otherwise, if you aren't referring to the Mother of thousands plant, it will depend on the type of plant that it is. Some plants can have their seeds planted immediately, and some will need to cure before planting.
