Q.Can You Start Vegetables Inside An Indoor Pool House

Zone 48640 | p.walkindog added on January 8, 2024 | Answered

My wife and I just purchased a home with an indoor pool with lots of windows. I’m wondering if it’s safe to start my vegetable seeds in the pool house before transferring them to our outdoor garden?

Sure! You could grow plants in there, including starting seeds. Seedlings will appreciate the humidity, as long as they do not get overwatered. Other plants should be chosen for their ability to withstand higher humidity.

This can be mitigated, completely, with good ventilation however. With this, you can treat it as a greenhouse, as normal.
