Q.Can You Prune A Baby Gem Boxwood To Stay At 12″ Height Given That Their Maximum Is 36″?
I am looking for the right boxwood to grow a very low hedge and parterre in my garden, and I am looking for one that is brighter green, has smaller leaves and maintains it’s color through the winter than the sempervirens-suffruticosa.

Yes, you can trim Little Gem to the size you want. Since they are slow growing, it won't be that often. Other dwarf boxwoods include Green Pillow, which grows just over 1 foot tall and Wedding Ring, which tops out at 1 to 3 feet.
