can you plant cut roses in your garden

Got a vase of 4 purple roses. I was wanting to know if you can plant them in the flower garden.

Thanks for your question. It would be wonderful if we could and have several pretty rosebushes from all those cut roses! But it really is not that easy. Usually by the time we would be ready to try and plant them the inner workings of the stems would be too depleated to work. However, you can certainly take some steps to try to get them to take root and grow. Just keep in mind that many rosebushes are grafted roses, the root stock used is a hardy rose and the upper part we like is a weaker rose that may not survive in all climates on its own root system.
