Can you plant a rubber tree outside?

Rubber trees are only hardy to 30 F. If it gets colder than 30 F where you live, it should not be planted outside. If you feel that the tree would be safe, which in zone 8 it should be, you can plant it out in the yard. However, potted plants do enjoy spending summers outdoors.
