can you grow bachelor button cornflowers during the summer in the south?

I just got a few seeds for the bachelor button cornflowers and wondered if I could start them now? Its August in southern Georgia and I thought maybe they could be grown starting now because it stays warm for so long. Maybe not if the length of days makes a difference. I’m new at this and just wondered.

If you are referring to annual bachelor buttons, aka cornflowers, save the seed for next spring. They require long daylight hours and lots of sun to bloom.
