Can You Eat Ornamental Cactus? Not Sure The Name. Look Like Nopales But Small.

I got it from a plant outside. Can handle snow and cold. Planted indoors. When a ‘leaf’ breaks of i would like to eat it as you do with the large version, i believe is called nopales. Is it ok?

This does look, to me, to be Opuntia. All in this species are edible.
