Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy phlox get so tall, can I cut them back? I have heard you can cut back some plants until July and that they will still form blooms and be able to bloom. Is phlox one of them? I am referring to the old fashion phlox not the newer version that you buy in the garden centers now.

The old fashioned phlox is pretty much indestructible. You can cut it back and it should still bloom. Cut it back in fall or spring.
