Can You Bring in Tomato and Eggplants for Winter to Grow

Also, do you fertilize them and, if so, what do you use then? I live in an apartment in Michigan. What lights are best to use for them?

You can try, but it is very hard to get these plants to thrive indoors over the winter. Even with supplemental light, the plants can normally only get enough to survive, not to thrive.

If you want to try though, florescent or grow lights will work to provide supplemental light. These will need to be placed a few inches away from the plant. Water only when the soil is dry to the touch on top. Apply a half strength water soluble fertilizer once a month.
