Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought this white star magnolia about a month ago, and we’ve had strange weather…dropped down to the low forties and and got to the high eighties. I’ve had it in full sun, and a bunch of leaves have fallen off. The remnants have a yellow tinge, and many have brown spots as you see…any ideas?

It looks like this plant is under a lot of stress. The best thing to do is keep it in a dappled shade out of the hot afternoon sun . It needs time to recover. No fertilizer . Don’t overwater but don’t allow it to dry out . I see its in a clay pot .They can suck the moisture out of the soil . I would repot it in a plastic pot with good drainage , careful not to disturb the roots. Good luck
