Q.Can Succulents Be Grown In A Self-watering Container?

Zone Bingley | nosmo added on September 3, 2020 | Answered

I have a Lechuza self-watering container indoors in which several plants are thriving. I would like to transfer a healthy succulent plant (type unknown but picture included here) into it to get the contrasting leaf shapes together but wonder whether, given the watering requirements of succulents in general, it will damage the plant

If the other plants are not succulents, or have similar water needs, I would hesitate to combine them. Always combine plants that have similar environmental needs. Plus, the self-watering containers aim to keep the soil moisture at a consistent level which might be too moist for your succulent.

Thank you Susan. I had thought it wouldn't be advisable, so appreciate your answer. I'll keep it in it's own little pot :)
