Cannot Get Rid of Fire Ants

Cannot get rid of fire ants on one half acre of yard. I have put two 20 lb. bags of Over n Out and treated the mounds as directed! My 16-month grandson is still being stung any time he gets in the yard, and they are eating my vegetable garden. HELP!

These articles have things you can try in eliminating these ants. That being said, for such a large area, you may need to call in a professional for this one.
