In the article you site, Ms Tilley says that Liatris can be planted in the fall in some areas but she does not elaborate. Are you putting in plants or corms? I have transplanted Liatris in fall, essentially the same thing as planting. I like plants to have 6 weeks for roots to settle in before severe cold hits. Corms can be planted in autumn but are more often available in stores for springtime planting. I apologize for the confusion. If you have plants or corms now, feel free to put them in.
