Q.Can I Use A Compressor To Flatten My Top Soil

I’ve dug out 8 inches of clay soil and replaced it top soil. But it taking ages to settle. Can I use a compressor and level it up again with top soil, will the grass seed be able to grow ok

The compressor may compact the soil too much. Those are more for flattening soil to build structures on. Grass seed will not grow on compacted soil. Watering it well between additions of soil will settle it quickly. Here is more about preparing soil for grass seed:
