Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comThe tree is about 8 to 9 yrs old. I am limited as to space and want to keep the tree at about 7 to 8 ft tall. At this point it is about 7 ft tall. Can I top (cut) the top foot of the tree without damage to its side growth or fruit production?

Yes, you can prune the fig tree to a more manageable size, but pruning should be done when the tree is dormant.
