Q.Can I Throw Forget Me Nots In My Compost Pile

I am overrun with forget me nots and in pulling them out I am also pulling up quite a bit of soil so I’d like to compost them but since I don’t have a hot compost I am hesitant. I’ve heard you can soak weeds in a bucket for a month or so and then use the liquid as fertilizer and then put the solids in the compost. Do you think that would work?

If you are pulling up soil with it, you may want to throw it all in the trash to avoid their return. Since they have soil, they will grow in the compost pile. Soaking them will just make a smelly mess unless you can shake off the dirt first and even then there will be a strong odor. Here is more:
