Can I separate a stem of Jasmine, for potting?

I have a beautiful Jasmine in a pot and I recently chopped it all back to its stems, so it grows full and thick, it’s doing beautifully but there is one branch that is much longer than the rest and I would like to know if I can cut it away from the rest of the plant, for potting elsewhere.

I’m moving sometime in the next two months and I want to be sure they will prosper, until I plant them in their new home…a garden at last.
