Q.Can I Run A Hydroponic System Using A Battery And A Solar Panel To Recharge The Battery?
I’m starting with hydroponic and I would like to setup a system in my house (outdoor) using nutrient film technique and/or drip system. In order to do that I will need the pump runing 24 hours every day to recirculate water and nutrients.
Rather than spending electricity and incrase my bill, I would like to run the system using a 12v battery (the one used for lawn & garden mowers or motorcycles 35 Ah) and a solar paner to recharge the battery (5 or 7 watts). I’m not sure if I can connect 4 clamps to the battery (2 from the pump and 2 from solar panel).
Any suggestion?

I would seek resources geared toward solar panels for that side of things. This PDF has some interesting information regarding such applications: https://www.academia.edu/36989127/Design_and_Development_of_Solar_Powered_Smart_Hydroponic_Greenhouse
