Q.Can I Plant Vegetables In The Soil Where I Dug Up Sago Palms?
I had a couple of sago palms dug up a few months ago. Is it safe to plant vegetables and herbs in the same soil? Or is there a residue of the toxin left behind in the soil?

If the palms were removed because of disease it is recommended to solarize the soil or remove and replace a lot of it with garden soil, or at the least, work in lots of compost.
You can solarize it by laying clear plastic across the area and weighing down the corners with bricks. Then let it sit for 4 to 6 weeks in the hot sun. That should kill any pathogens. Follow that with lots of compost.
If the palms were not diseased when removed, just work compost into the soil.
