Q.Can I plant some succulents around the base of plant?

Zone Colorado | lilactree added on July 24, 2012 | Answered

Just wondering if it is a good idea to plant these at the base of the lilac or not. I want to cover the ground underneath the two I am planting. Thanks for any info you can give me. : ) Corinne/CO

It should be fine to grow other plantings beneath your lilac. There are a number of plants that would do well so make sure you choose one that shares similar conditions and will thrive in the shade from your lilac.
