Can I plant my desert rose in a wooden barrel that I bought at Lowe’s? It’s like a big round wooden barrel?

My desert rose is beautiful but it has outgrown its pot . The trunk is big and round and the roots are starting to grow out and over the pot. I live in Florida.

You can use it if the pot is not huge in comparison to the plant. A pot much bigger than the plant can cause overwatering, which will kill the desert rose.

Choose a pot that is big enough to contain the roots but only a couple inches larger. The caudex should be above the soil.
