Q.Can I Plant Creeping Thyme Over An Existing Lawn And Have It Take Over. Trying To Replace The Lawn Without Removing All Of It.

We are trying to replace the lawn in our orchard with the creeping thyme. We plan to make circles of mulch around our fruit trees and then let the thyme spread. Please let me know if you think this will work?

More than likely, the grass will take over and force out the creeping thyme. It's best to remove the lawn first, or at least portions of it.
