Is it possible to plant my Christmas cactus into the ground?

Actually, it is better to keep them in a container. They can spend all summer outdoors in a bright but semi-shady location but should be brought indoors prior to cold weather in fall. Depending on your winters or temps in your area, however, they can remain outside as long as it doesn’t fall below 55 degrees F.
