Can I Overwinter Lambs Ear In Pots?

I have lambs ears in two pots in the yard. Can I overwinter them in the pots? Should I put them in our shed, or are they ok as is? Last year I overwintered them by burying them in the elevated bed. Transplanted them into bigger pots in the spring. They have grown quite large over the summer. Should I go ahead and put them in the ground now? (End of September), or bring them inside? I’m not sure what to do with them, and I don’t want to accidentally kill them off.

Yes. It can grow down to zone 4, so they will survive in container in your area. As a general rule, when you are growing in container, you will think of it as being one zone cooler than it actually is. In your area, you will pretend that you are in zone 5b in container.
