Can I keep sedums etc in shallow boxes over the winter? They make up a living wall in my yard

They are various rock garden succulent perennials. Thus, off the ground. Thx in advance

Normally sedum plants are hardy and will be fine in any well-draining soil. However, you did have an "etc." and I'm not sure what else you may be growing there. The boxes need to have enough soil depth to protect the roots from freezing.
