Can I grow vegetables where monkshood grew

I would like to grow vegetables where I had monkshood growing for the past 5 years. Will that be ok?

As long as the plants are removed and you are not still growing the Monkshood in the planting bed you should not have any issues.
All parts of the plant are poisonous so make sure the roots are removed.
