Q.Can I grow peonies in SW Oklahoma?
We have hot dry summers, strong south and southwest wind. Winters are cold enough for most bulbs. Not sure I see many, if any in local gardens. Thanks, Lois Bannister

Peonies can be grown in USDA zones 3-8 (they can also be grown in zone 9 with a little extra effort) and need a winter chill to bloom.
Look for varieties for your growing zone 7a in local garden centers!
