Q.Can I grow a mung bean plant from a mung bean? Or do I need to find mung seeds ? What’s the differnce?
I am doing a science experiment with my K students using mung beans. The goal is to grow mung bean plant.
It is to my understanding, that a Mung Bean will grow a mung plant, which will eventually give mung bean pods.
Other teachers think that mung seeds are different from the mung bean, and that the mung bean won’t grow into a plant, that only a mung seed will get the plant to grow. IS there a difference between a mung bean and a mung seed?
Isn’t the bean, the seed?

The beans are the reproductive seeds, and therefore will grow. They need to be dried first, however.
