Q.Can I Give A Newly Planted Palm Too Much Water

Zone 89120 | Anonymous added on October 17, 2024 | Answered

The center of my palm rotted out when I pulled on it. I planted it in November 2022. We went into colder temperatures. Does the time of year make an optimum difference?

Well draining soil is essential for palm trees. Palms should be kept moist until established, but not saturated. Too much water can lead to fungal problems. Plants typically need less water in colder temps and more water when temps are warm.
