Q.Can I Cut The Dead Top (no Leaves) Of My 40 Year Old, 10 Foot, Ponytail Palm?
My Ponytail is just over 40 years old, never flowered and about 10 feet tall, living in a wine barrel outside in Adelaide SA. It has about three brunches coming off the main trunk half way up and the rest of it reaching up is becoming hallow, the top dead off when I move it out of the shade house. Can I cut the main trunk where the brunches are??. sorry I wish I could uploaded a photo but can’t.
