Can Hazelnuts That Come Off Tree B4 Ripening Be Saved & Used?

Had to trim branch from hazelnut tree and there were unripe hazelnuts on it. Is there anyway I can used them? They are still white.

Most sources say to wait till they drop from the tree. I found this one that says you can ripen green hazelnuts in a warm, dry place. Here is more:
