I was wondering if a hardy hibiscus can be cut back and regrow to re bloom in the same season or if it’s finished for this season it’s only June but it was beautiful while it was blooming

It will, probably, not bloom again while it is hot. It may bloom again once it cools down, but not while it is hot like this.

Cutting now is not advised. You should prune these in the spring right as the new growth comes out for the year, or vigorous growth starts if you are in a climate where it is too warm to enter dormancy.
