Bleeding heart is adaptable and tough, and you should be able to leave it in a pot. I’m assuming you mean outdoors on the porch or patio; it’s not going to make a good indoor potted plant. You’ll need to keep it pruned to the size you want – a small trellis or some other place for it to vine on would look pretty.
