Q.Can Barrel Cactus Grow With Northeast Facing Window?
I have a barrel cactus that’s very small just barely 2 inches in height and length but he has big spikes and is growing in my room with my northeast window, he has been for a full yr now and seems fine although not much growth. Was curious if they are able to grow with northeast light? It’s not directly in front of my window I have a big window and it’s below it on a table, It’s also in a pretty small pot as he’s small.

As you have noticed, they will grow, just very slowly. Unfortunately, this is what you will come to expect without more light.
If you would like better growth, then I would suggest potting up to a slightly larger pot and putting it under a grow light. Otherwise, expect a very slow growing room ornament!
