Norfolk Island Pine Trees

Q.can a second trunk on a Norfolk islad pine be removed and propagated?

Zone Three springs, Western Australia | Anonymous added on January 23, 2020 | Answered

Tree was damaged when first bought, didn’t think it would grow as top was burnt in sun. Secondary trunk began to grow, then main one recovered as well. Tree is about 4yrs old and has been in a pot until last December, then transferred to a big bag and taken up to Three springs. My daughter would like to know if the secondary growth can be removed and propagated and when would the time be right to remove it.

Thank you for you help
