It can, over time. You can’t expose it directly out of nowhere. What you will need to do is acclimate it slowly over time. I would bring it out to the sun for an hour a day, for a few days, then 2 for a few days, the 4 for a few days, and doubling until they seem to tolerate it.
You will know that they are taking to the sun if they stay crisp and don’t start wrinkling or bleaching on you.
