Can a Hibiscus Rose of Sharon Be covered up

Can a Hibiscus Rose of Sharon be covered before winter or leave it uncovered? We get some harsh winters in Canada, so I want to protect my new Rose of Sharon, as it is a little over 2 feet tall. Please help. Thanks

Hopefully your Rose Of Sharon is planting in an area that is out of harsh wind.
Water the plant up until ground freeze.
Adding a layer of leave mulch will help and you can make a protection circle of burlap.

Snow cover is one of the best insulators.
