Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have 3 bleeding hearts on the north side of our house. After pulling my veggie garden in the fall a plant started to come up. It survived the winter months above ground. It is now growing fairly quickly, getting full sun. I took a pic and my friend said it could be a bleeding heart plant which self seeded. I know that could be possible, but I am surprised it survived the winter and I am wondering if it will last in full sun as I don’t want to move it.

They can take full sun in cooler areas, and they can self-seed. However, you are in zone 7, so you may have fairly warm summers. If needed, you can plant something taller nearby to shade it.
