Q.Camellia Has Tons Of Buds, But Never Bloom, Please Help

Zone Norfolk, VA | jonkane added on March 26, 2021 | Answered

I have had this Camellia for over 5 years, and the same problem has happened each year; The plant looks very healthy most of the year and through out the winter, nice new growth, tons of buds and dark green leaves. But when it comes time to actually bloom (I might get 1 or 2), The leaves start turning yellowish to brownish. The buds start to brown over, never open and fall off. Then come spring it gets back to looking good again. Please help me get my Camellia to bloom. Thanks, Jon
