Q.Camellia

Anonymous added on March 25, 2014 | Answered

We planted a camellia in late spring. Has grown on well, leaves are healthy and glossy. Plant seems in good health but although lots of healthy new growth, this appears to be leaf growth and there is no sign of flowers. Soil is acidic. (when planted there were only about 10 flowers showing but we thought this was because the flowering season was almost over.) Any ideas?

I would add phosphorus to the soil. A lack of phosphorus will cause a lack of blooms.
