Q.Camelia Not Flowered

As you can see from the attached picture, my camelia is quite big. This year it has not budded/flowered despite having had plenty of water and food. Should/could I now hard prune it or rent it straight into the ground?

That container looks small for that size of shrub but it may just be the angle of the photo. Undue stress on the plant can prevent blooming. This article will help you determine what the stressor may be:
