Calla Lily Question

Approximately how long does it take the rhizomes to come up after they are planted? Every article I have read gives instructions on what to do when the leaves appear, but I have no idea how long it takes for the leaves to appear. The oriental lilies I planted at the same time are beginning to come up. They are in pots in the greenhouse. The temperature varies from about 58 degrees at night to 80 degrees during the day. They were planted March 10.

Quality rhizomes, which are ready to sprout, usually take 3-6 weeks. Varieties with larger blooms take longer. Make sure you obtain rhizomes from reliable source. Temperature is normally a factor, with estimated time based on 70 degrees F night temperature and 85 degrees F day temperature.
