Q.Calla Lily Outgrowing Pot, Not Blooming and Droopy

Zone Colorado | lisa108 added on August 12, 2015 | Answered

I have a Calla Lily and am by NO MEANS an expert at growing but am trying really hard to learn!! That being said… I am pretty sure there are a few problems with it…

1. I think it has outgrown its pot or it could possibly have not been planted in the center of the pot because it is bulging on one side and there seems to be a lot of growth on one side and not so much on the other, which also leads me to believe that there could possibly be 2 bulbs in the pot. (It is still in the original pot I purchased it in last year).

2. When I purchased it, it had green blooms but since I let it go dormant and it has started growing again, there are no blooms at all and it is now starting to droop and not be as green as it was when it first started coming back from the dormant stage and now is starting to get a yellow cast to it.

What should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!!

The pot really doesn't look overly full and in need of dividing right now.
It does appear the foliage looks a little pale. I think your plant is in need of more light. It may be lifting from the pot to be reaching for the light.
Try moving it to a brighter location.
If you need to make a pot change to divide or just correct the position in the pot, I would wait until it is done blooming.
