Q.Calla Lily Help After Blooming
I bought 2 Calla Lilies which were gorgeous in the spring! Now I have one that devoid of any greenery and 1 that is a mix of browned out leaves with some green leaves. You said not to fertilize now. I have stopped fertilizing. So what is my next step NOW in August in SC? Continue to water? Remove the bulbs or rhizomes? Where do put them now? I would plant them in the ground BUT since they are invasive, I don’t want to chase that problem! I have a propensity for choosing invasive species! Please advise including suggestions of other beautiful plants which are NOT invasive!

You are on the edge of hardiness but if you planted them in the ground and mulched them well after the first frost, they should come back in spring. If you have them in containers you can bring them inside for the winter. I have never heard that calla lilies are invasive. You might enjoy true lilies like Asiatic or Oriental.
