Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comFour years ago when I bought my first house I was given a Calla Lily for a house warming gift. I love this flower and want to care for it properly but I feel I am failing miserably. It started out as a small plant and is now MASSIVE (4 feet tall and to full to wrap my arms around) and I have transplanted the small off shoots to the point that I know have half a dozen large plants. The problem is that they seem to ‘crumple’ on themselves. As if they are simply too tall to bear their own weight. The stalks bend/break and drop. How do I fix this? Plant deeper? Use wooden dowels as support? Is it ever appropriate to cut them back? Your advice is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your plant needs to be divided.
Here is a link that will help.
