Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI mixed fertilized dirt in with my soil and planted by bulbs in the ground. When I watered them, it looked like I did not mix in enough of the good fertilized soil because there is some water standing for a period of time. I am getting a very late start on planting bulbs. I planted two or three days ago. I am wondering if I should just get more black dirt, mix it in and replant the bulbs. I am hoping to get some flowers by September 3. HELP

Calla Lily need to be planted in loose, well draining soil.
Bulbs and roots sitting in water or soggy soil are likely to cause the bulbs to rot.
I might suggest you planting them in a pot or container, if your soil is not suitable for the bulbs.
